Dopo un paio d’anni di purgatorio i Golden Globes sono pronti a tornare live sulla NBC il prossimo 10 gennaio, grazie alle modifiche profonde introdotte nel suo corpus di votanti.
Le nominations annunciate oggi vedono in testa Gli spiriti dell’isola inserito nella categoria Comedy or Musical con 8 candidature, tra cui spiccano i 4 attori protagonisti e non protagonisti.
Seguono con 5 nominations The Fabelmans, Babylon e Everything Everywhere All At Once.
Tra i cinque migliori drama troviamo anche Avatar: La via dell’acqua, Elvis, Tár
Top Gun: Maverick, mentre tra le commedie ci sono anche Triangle of Sadness e Glass Onion.
Nessuno dei dieci film è diretto da una donna. I cinque migliori registi sono Cameron, Luhrmann, Spielberg, McDonagh e i Daniels: sei uomini bianchi, quasi tutti boomer, uno solo di origini asiatiche, ma nato in Massachussets.
Le polemiche sono in arrivo in 3,2,1…
Le uniche donne citate nelle nominations senza generi sono Sarah Polley per la sceneggiatura di Women Talking e Hildur Guonadottir, che ha composto la colonna sonora dello stesso film.
Tra le animazioni, quest’anno una categoria poverissima, troviamo Pinocchio di Del Toro, facile vincitore.
Tra i film internazionali, l’indiano RRR, il coreano Decision To Leave, il belga Close, Argentina 1985 e il tedesco Niente di nuovo sul fronte occidentale.
