I Critics’Choice Awards hanno annunciato le loro nominations per la cerimonia del 7 marzo prossimo ed è stato un trionfo di Netflix, citata ben 46 volte: 4 dei 10 nominati al miglior film sono stati distribuiti dalla società di Sarandos e Hastings.
A guidare il gruppo è Mank di Fincher con ben 12 candidature, che tuttavia sembra sulla buona strada per ripetere l’exploit al contrario di The Irishman di Scorsese. Tante nominations ma pochi premi e nessun Oscar: un film più stimato, che amato davvero a Hollywood.
Dietro Mank si staglia Minari con 10 nominations, un film coreano, ambientato negli Stati Uniti di Ronald Reagan, che non ci era sembrato davvero nulla di speciale, ma che evidentemente è riuscito a far presa sui votanti.
A seguire Ma Rainey’s con 8, Notizie dal mondo con 7 e il favoritissimo Nomadland con 6.
Doppia candidatura per Chadwick Boseman e per la coppia di compositori Trent Reznor e Atticus Ross.
La Critics’ Choice Association è la più grande associazione americana, riunendo circa 400 critici televisivi, radiofonici e online.
