Tre manifesti e The Shape of Water in testa alle nominations per i BAFTA

Mancano pochi giorni all’annuncio delle nominations agli Oscar, ma i BAFTA, i premi della British Academy le anticipano di poco, confermando le scelte che sinora sono state ribadite dalle associazioni dei critici e dalle gilde sindacali americane.

In un anno dominato da produzioni e co-produzioni inglesi, in testa, con 12 nominations, c’è The Shape of Water, il Leone d’oro di Venezia, diretto dal messicano Guillermo Del Toro. Con 9 lo seguono Tre manifesti a Ebbing, Missouri del londinese Martin McDonagh e L’ora più buia di un altro londinese, Joe Wright.

Tra i cinque migliori film dell’anno anche Chiamami col tuo nome di Guadagnino (4 candidature complessive) e Dunkirk di Nolan. Tra i migliori registi Denis Villeneuve prende il posto di Wright, con gli altri quattro confermatissimi.

Da notare che Blade Runner 2049 ha ricevuto ben 8 candidature complessive, lo stesso numero di Dunkirk.
