Golden Globes: The Fabelmans di Spielberg e Gli spiriti dell’isola i migliori dell’anno

Con spirito ecumenico i Golden Globes, assegnati per la prima volta da un’associazione stampa estera riformata e corretta, hanno cercato di rimanere ecumenici, premiando molti dei favoriti della vigili, ma lasciando i premi più importanti, quello per il miglior drama e quello per la migliore regia a Steven Spielberg e al suo autobiografico The Fabelmans.

Il premio per la migliore commedia è andato alla fine al bellissimo Gli spiriti dell’isola di Martin McDonagh che esce dalla cerimonia con tre premi, compreso quello al miglior attore Colin Farrell e alla migliore sceneggiatura.

Le migliori attrici scelte per categoria sono state Cate Blanchett (drama) e Michelle Yeoh (musical/comedy), mentre Austin Butler per Elvis hja affiancato Farrell.

I due non protagonisti sono Ke Huy Quan e Angela Bassett, mentre la colonna sonora di Babylon ha conquistato i giurati come la scatenata Naatu Naatu dell’indiano RRR.

Come miglior animazione è stato scelto il Pinocchio di Del Toro, che non ha concorrenti ed ha già l’Oscar in tasca, in uno degli anni più neri per il settore, mentre come miglior film internazionale è stato scelto il solido Argentina 1985, presentato a Venezia e distribuito da Amazon.

Tra i premi televisivi si segnalano House of Dragon per i drama e White Lotus per le serie antologiche, mentre Kevin Coster (Yellowstone) e Zendaya (Euphoria) sono stati scelti come migliori attori drammatici.
