Con una scelta in controtendenza la National Society of Film Critics ha scelto come miglior film dell’anno l’indie The Rider di Chloe Zhao, Alfonso Cuaron miglior regista e la coppia Ethan Hawke e Olivia Colman come migliori protagonisti.
L’associazione, nata nel 1966 con base a New York, rappresenta 64 critici tra i più importanti di tutto il paese ed è presieduta da Justin Chang del Los Angeles Times.
