L’ondata populista che soffia potente anche a Hollywood ha contagiato anche i premi di categoria.
Ecco quindi che in gara troviamo Black Panther, Bohemian Rhapsody, A star is born, addirittura il ridicolo Crazy Rich Asians, oltre all’horror da 200 milioni di dollari A quiet place. Strano che manchi la nuova Mary Poppins, fresca di successo natalizio.
Sì, ci sono anche Roma, La Favorita, Vice, BlacKkKlansman, ma insomma, la qualità e i piccoli film indie che di solito trovavano una strada verso i premi, questa volta mancano del tutto.
Poca gloria per First Reformed o per Se la strada potesse parlare o per i film stranieri che tanto hanno segnato la stagione, da Cold War a Burning.
Domenica notte si assegneranno i Golden Globes. C’è da tremare…
