Tre manifesti a Ebbing, Missouri domina anche i BAFTA, gli Oscar inglese, conquistando ben cinque premi: miglior film, migliore sceneggiatura originale, migliore attrice con Frances McDormand, migliore attore non protagonista, Sam Rockwell e miglior film inglese.
La forma dell’acqua di Del Toro deve accontentarsi di tre premi per regia, colonna sonora e scenografie, peraltro molto generosi, considerando il livello dei contendenti.
James Ivory autore del copione di Chiamami col tuo nome vince per il miglior adattamento.
Prevedibili le vittorie anche di Gary Oldman nei panni di Churchill per L’ora più buia e Allison Janey in Tonya.
