L’international Cinephile Society è un gruppo di 55 giornalisti, critici e storici, formato nel 2003, che si occupa di festival ed eventi cinematografici nei cinque continenti.
Questi sono i loro premi per i migliori del 2010. Nonostante Il profeta sia stato presentato a Cannes 2009, è uscito nelle sale di moltissimi paesi (ed anche in Italia) solo nel 2010.
Trionfo anche per un altro film francese, Carlos di Assayas, che conquista anche il premio di miglior attore con Edgar Ramirez. Da notare il successo di Giovanna Mezzogiorno come miglior attrice per Vincere, a pari merito con Lesley Manville per Another Year.
The Social Network conquista la migliore sceneggiatura, il montaggio e la colonna sonora.
L’illusionista è la migliore animazione e Exit through the gift shop il miglior documentario.
