Nella cerimonia dei 35mi European Film Awards, Ruben Östlund ha bissato con Triangle of Sadness il successo di cinque anni fa di The Square, conquistando quattro premi, tra cui quelli per la migliore regia e la migliore sceneggiatura dell’anno.
Il premio ai migliori attori europei sono andati a Vicky Krieps, al solito sublime in Il corsetto dell’imperatrice e Zlatko Burić, che pure in Triangle of Sadness ha un ruolo da caratterista, ma piuttosto gustoso.
La Krieps in collegamento ha detto: “I want to dedicate this to all women that need to be heard and seen. That need to heal from these deep deep wounds that we carry for generations. And that we need to heal in order for men and women to come back together again.”
Piccolo Corpo di Laura Samani ha vinto il premio per la migliore opera prima.
