E’ Maggie Gyllenhaal con il suo adattamento da La figlia oscura di Elena Ferrante a vincere i primi maggiori agli Independent Spirit Awardsa, consegnati sabato sera a Santa Monica.
Il film uscirà in Italia il prossimo 7 aprile, dopo essere stato in concorso a Venezia.
E’ un nuovo successo per Netflix distribuisce il film negli States e che ha visto premiato anche il suo Passing.
La cerimonia, che di solito precede di un giorno quella degli Oscar è stata invece spostata un paio di settimane prima, con una mossa forse più strategica che lascia lo spotlight sui premi del cinema indie un po’ più a lungo.
Migliori attori sono Simon Rex di Red Rocket, appena uscito anche da noi e Taylour Page del disastroso Zola, che trovate sulle piattaforme.
Miglior film internazionale Drive My Car, ormai favoritissimo anche per gli Oscar, dopo avere fatto incetta di quasi tutti i premi precedenti.
Lo stesso si può dire per Summer of Soul il documentario di Questlove che ci stupiremmo di non veder premiato anche con la statuetta degli Academy Awards.
In concorso c’era anche il nostro A Chiara di Carpignano, ma è tornato a casa a mani vuote.
