La pattuglia di Netflix ai festival autunnali, non si esaurisce con i sei film di Venezia: A Toronto ci saranno sia Hold the Dark, il nuovo horror di Jeremy Saulnier, sia Outlaw King di David Mackenzie.
Quest’ultimo è interpretato da Chris Pine ed è ambientato nel nostro medioevo: OUTLAW KING tells the untold, true story of Robert the Bruce who transforms from defeated nobleman to outlaw hero during the oppressive occupation of medieval Scotland by Edward I of England. Despite grave consequences, Robert seizes the Scottish crown and rallies an impassioned group of men to fight back against the mighty army of the tyrannical King and his volatile son, the Prince of Wales.
Il film è stato girato in Scozia ed è la seconda collaborazione tra David Mackenzie e Chris Pine dopo Hell or High Water. Nel cast ci sono anche Aaron Taylor-Johnson e Florence Pugh.
Il film sarà su Netflix dal 9 novembre.
