The Big Short, il nuovo film di Adam McKay si chiamerà in italiano La grande scommessa ed uscirà in sala il 7 gennaio, per l’epifania.
McKay non ha proprio la fama del regista impegnato, dopo una vita di commedie demenziali (Anchorman, Talladega Nights), per lo più interpretate dal Chavy Chase degli anni 2000, Will Ferrell.
Ma questa volta il suo film sembra puntare in alto, con un cast all star composto da Brad Pitt, Ryan Gosling, Steve Carell, Christian Bale, Melissa Leo e Marisa Tomei, impegnato a raccontare la grande bolla speculativa che portò alla crisi del 2007-2008.
Il film è tratto dal libro di Michael Lewis (Moneyball): When four outsiders saw what the big banks, media and government refused to, the global collapse of the economy, they had an idea: The Big Short. Their bold investment leads them into the dark underbelly of modern banking where they must question everyone and everything. Based on the true story and best-selling book by Michael Lewis (The Blind Side, Moneyball), and directed by Adam Mckay (Anchorman, Step Brothers) The Big Short stars Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling and Brad Pitt.
