Ma a sorpresa Tom hooper si fa scippare la statuetta di miglior regista da David Fincher, che con The Social Network si impone anche come migliore sceneggiatura e montaggio.
Tre premi tecnici a Inception, Toy Story 3 miglior animazione e Uomini che odiano le donne miglior film in lingua non inglese.
