Fondata nel 1997 la Online Film Critics Society raccoglie circa 300 giornalisti e critici attivi prevalentemente su internet che scrivono su Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, Slant, Paste Magazine, AARP, Sight & Sound, Screen Anarchy, Collider, The Film Stage e anche sul nostro Stanze di Cinema.
Come da tradizione americana, a fine anno promuove un poll tra i suoi membri per scegliere i migliori film della stagione.
Le nominations comunicate nella notte vedono in testa Oppenheimer con 12 candidature, seguito da Povere creature! e Killers of the Flower Moon con 11 ciascuno.
A 9 troviamo Barbie, quindi più staccati Anatomia di una caduta e Past Lives con 5.
Il 23 gennaio saranno rivelati i vincitori.
