Il momento magico di Alicia Vikander non sembra destinato a svanire. L’attrice svedese, rivelatasi al mondo in A Royal Affair e Anna Karenina, e poi in Ex Machina, premio Oscar per The Danish Girl, appena investita del ruolo di nuova protagonista di Tomb Rider, compagna di Michael Fassbender, protagonista con Matt Damon del prossimo Jason Bourne, ha fondato la propria casa di produzione, chiamata Vikarious Pictures.
E produrrà il terzo film della regista svedese Lisa Langseth, con cui aveva lavorato nel 2010 in Pure e nel 2013 in Hotell.
Pure era stato l’esordio per entrambe nel mondo del cinema.
Il nuovo film, intitolato Euphoria, la vedrà sul set accanto a Eva Green: saranno due sorelle in viaggio, incapaci di comunicare tra loro.
La Vikander ha dichiarato: ‘Euphoria’ is Lisa’s third film as writer and director. I have worked with her on each of them and I jumped at the chance to do so again,” Vikander said. “It’s a uniquely European approach, enabling me to work with a great Swedish team alongside my colleagues in London. It is a profound story about the journey of two estranged sisters, full of suffering but also full of joy, and squaring up to very important subject matter. It also has compelling female voices and is packed to the rafters with female talent both sides of the camera. All these ingredients made this film the obvious choice for our first film at Vikarious. [Agent] Charles [Collier] and I will be developing more films in this space over the next 24 months.
