Il nuovo film di Jim Mickle (We Are What We Are, Cold in July) è un poliziesco prodotto da netflix, che arriverà sulle pagine del gigante dello streaming il prossimo 27 settembre.
In The Shadow Of The Moon è interpretato da Boyd Holbrook, Michael C. Hall, Cleopatra Chapman, Rudi Dharmalingam, Sarah Dugdale e Bokeem Woodbine.
Holbrook è un poliziotto di Philadelphia che sogna di diventare detective, e per farlo dovrà mettersi sulle tracce di un killer.
Anche qui come in Cold in July, non c’è un solo genere in gioco, secondo Mickle: “I didn’t know if [‘Cold In July’] was a heist, a family drama, comedy, it just kept redefining what it was every 20 pages or so. It was never broadcasted to you; you had to decide as you read. It felt like growing up and falling in love with movies for the first time. I had that feeling again for this film and wanted to maintain it.”
Questa è la sinossi ufficiale:
In 1988, Philadelphia police officer Thomas Lockhart (Boyd Holbrook), hungry to become a detective, begins tracking a serial killer who mysteriously resurfaces every nine years. But when the killer’s crimes begin to defy all scientific explanation, Lock’s obsession with finding the truth threatens to destroy his career, his family, and possibly his sanity. Directed by Jim Mickle and also starring Michael C. Hall and Cleopatra Coleman, IN THE SHADOW OF THE MOON is a genre-bending psychological thriller that examines the power of time, and how its passing can either bring us together or tear us apart.
