Attaccato in maniera assai ipocrita da pseudointellettuali e politici, Zero Dark Thirty, che partiva da favorito per i prossimi Oscar, ci ha rimesso molte nominations compresa quella per Kathryn Bigelow.
Ora che il film è nelle sale e tutti lo possono vedere cominciano a farsi sotto i suoi sostenitori: Michael Moore ha scritto un post su Facebook in difesa del film.
In particolare sul tema scottante del ruolo della tortura nella caccia a Bin Laden ha scritto:
And then, as the movie shows, the CIA abruptly shifts from torture porn to – are you sitting down? – *detective work.* Like cops do to find killers…In the final third of ‘Zero Dark Thirty,’ the agents switch from torture to detective work – and guess what happens? We find bin Laden! Eight years of torture – no bin Laden. Two years of detective work – boom! Bin Laden! And that really should be the main takeaway from ‘Zero Dark Thirty’: That good detective work can bring fruitful results – and that torture is wrong.
Time Magazine ha dedicato la copertina alla Bigelow che si è difesa anche sulla CBS intervistata da Charlie Rose.
Zero Dark Thirty uscirà il 7 fennraio in Italia.
