Si vedrà in anteprima alla Mostra di Venezia il nuovo film scritto e diretto da Darren Aronofsky, a tre anni di distanza dal disastroso Noah.
mother! è interpretato da Jenniferl Lawrence, Ed Harris, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kristen Wiig, Domhnall Gleeson e Javier Bardem. E’ stato girato in 16mm da Matthew Libatique e musicato da Jóhann Jóhannsson, storico collaboratore di Villeneuve.
Secondo Aronofsky: “I think all my early films were more about ideas … When it came to ‘Noah’, there was this clear environmental statement in the original gospel, which was interesting to push forward. My latest project probably has similar political intentions behind it, but first and foremost responsibility as a narrative filmmaker is making something that is emotional and can connect with an audience.”
