Il film è stato scritto da David Kajganich (Suspiria, A Bigger Splash) a partire dal romanzo omonimo di Camille DeAngelis.
Nel cast ci saranno Timothée Chalamet e Taylor Russell nei panni dei protagonisti Lee e Maren. Accanto a loro Mark Rylance, Michael Stuhlbarg, André Holland, Chloë Sevigny, and David Gordon-Green. Jessica Harper, La colonna sonora è firmata da Trent Reznor e Atticus Ross.
BONES AND ALL is a story of first love between Maren, a young woman learning how to survive on the margins of society, and Lee, an intense and disenfranchised drifter; a liberating road odyssey of two young people coming into their own, searching for identity and chasing beauty in a perilous world that cannot abide who they are.
