Sarà Robert De Niro il protagonista della miniserie Criminal Justice che Richard Price (Clockers, The Wire, Mad Dog & Glory) ha scritto per la HBO ed il cui episodio pilota sarà diretto da Steve Zaillian.
Il ruolo avrebbe dovuto essere di James Gandolfini.
La serie è tratta dallo show, scritto da Peter Moffat per la BBC nel 2008: De Niro will play an ambulance-chasing New York City attorney who decides to defend a Pakistani man accused of murdering a girl from the Upper West Side he was partying with, but can’t remember if he committed the crime.
