Dopo aver lavorato assieme in Il lato positivo e prossimamente nel film ispirato allo scandalo ABSCAM, David O.Russell potrebbe girare con Jennifer Lawrence per la terza volta.
The Ends Of The Earth sarà un dramma romantico, scritto da Chris Terrio, lo sceneggiatore di Argo, e basato su una storia vera: Lawrence playing Lydie Marland, the adopted daughter of oil tycoon Ernest Marland, who cared for the child when his desitute brother was unable. After his sibling passed away, the 54 year-old Ernest annulled the adoption and married the 28 year-old Lydie. She was a well known socialite who also pushed her husband to raise worker wages and provide health care, and the film will center on the loss of his wealth and a scandalous affair. The pair stayed married as he embarked on a political career, but he passed away in 1941 and for the rest of her life, she mostly lived as a recluse.
