BRAD PITT is planning to get political on Thursday (05Mar09) – he’s scheduled a meeting with America’s Speaker of the House NANCY PELOSI. The movie star is in Washington, D.C. with his partner Angelina Jolie, who is shooting new thriller Salt in the U.S. capital, and he’s using his time there to make a political statement. A spokesman for Pelosi’s office states, “They will be discussing (Pitt’s) Make it Right, a project launched in 2007 to construct affordable and environmentally-sustainable housing for low-income residents of the Lower 9th Ward in New Orleans who lost their homes as a result of Hurricane Katrina.” Pitt has been a big part of the rebuilding process in New Orleans, with his project providing funding for a number of re-housing schemes in the area.
