Ieri sera a Hong Kong sono stati assegnati gli Asian Film Awards, che premiano i migliori film dell’enorme continente asiatico.

Mother, il cast ed il regista Bong Joon-ho
E’ solo la quarta edizione del premio, che quest’anno ha laureato il capolavoro di Bong Joon-ho, Mother, presentato a Cannes l’anno scorso: oltre al premio di miglior film, ha avuto anche quello per la migliore scenggiatura e la migliore attrice, Kim Hye-ja, una madre capace di sfidare giustizia e destino per provare l’innocenza del proprio figlio.
Nelle scorse tre edizioni si erano imposti The Host sempre di Bong Joon-ho, con Jia Zhangke miglior regista per Still Life nel 2007, Secret Sunshine di Lee Cha-Dong anche miglior regista nel 2008 e Tokyo Sonata di Kiyoshi Kurosawa con Koreeda Hirokazu miglior regista per Still Walking nel 2009.

Lu Chuan
Il miglior regista è il cinese Lu Chuan per l’inedito City of Life and Death, che racconta in bianco e nero il massacro di Nanchino nella gurra tra Cina e Giappone durata dal 1937 al 1945: il film è stato un successo in Cina, anche se dipinge in modo positivo anche i soldati giapponesi.

Wang Xueqi
Il miglior attore è il cinese Wang Xueqi, protagonista del film hongkonghese Bodyguards and Assassins di Peter Chan.
