Prima immagine del nuovo film diretto da Gus Van Sant con l’uomo del momento, Matthew McConaughey, Ken Watanabe e Naomi Watts.
Sea of trees racconta di un americano deciso a farla finita, nella misteriosa forseta vicino al Monte Fuji, salvato dall’incontro con un giapponese che si è perso e non riesce più a trovare la sua strada.
Secondo McConaughey: “I say another title for this film is ‘You’ve got to go through annihilation to get to salvation’. It’s one hell of a survival story. Everyone is going to leave the theater and have their own walk and talk through the parking lot to muse about its meanings, what it was about and what it wasn’t, what was real and what was a dream.”
Il film non ha ancora una distribuzione americana, ma i nomi coinvolti sono di primissimo piano. Probabilmente si vedrà a Cannes 2015.
