In italiano si chiamerà Il pianeta delle scimmie: Revolution. Il secondo film della nuova serie è diretto da Matt Reeves (Cloverfield, Let me in) ed ha un cast interamente nuovo: Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Enrique Murciano, Kirk Acevedo, Karin Konoval e Judy Greer, oltre naturalmente a Andy Serkis nei panni della scimmia Caesar.
A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.
L’uscita americana è prevista per l’11 luglio 2014, mentre in Italia arriverà il 31 luglio.
