Nuovo adattamento per il Re Lear di Shakespare, prodotto da Barry Navidi (The Merchant of Venice, Wilde Salomé) e diretto da Bernard Rose (Candyman).
Lear Rex riunirà Al Pacino a Jessica Chastain, ma il resto del cast non è meno interessante con il premio Oscar Ariana DeBose, Rachel Brosnahan, Peter Dinklage, LaKeith Stanfield. E ancora Chris Messina, Ted Levine, Danny Huston, Matthew Jacobs, Rhys Coiro, e Stephen Dorff.
Pacino e Chastian saranno Lear e Goneril, DeBose interpreterà Cordelia, Brosnahan invece sarà Regan, Dinklage the Fool, Huston sarà Albany, Messina Cornwall, Stanfield Edmund, Levine Kent, Jacobs Gloucester, Coiro Oswald, e infine Dorff interpreterà Il Povero Tom.
Le riprese cominceranno a Los Angeles il prossimo 12 agosto.
