I premi dei critici di New York e Los Angeles

E’ tempo di premi negli Stati Uniti. I primi responsi sono quelli delle associazioni dei critici delle grandi città.

A Los Angeles i vincitori sono stati the Hurt Locker, il controverso film di Kathryn Bigelow sulla guerra in Iraq, già presentato a Venezia nel 2008 ed uscito solo la scorsa estate negli States. I migliori attori sono Jeffe Bridges, la francese Yolande Moreau, Christoph Waltz – il colonnello Landa di Inglourious Basterds – e Mo’Nique. La migliore sceneggiatura è quella di Tra le nuvole, il miglior film d’animazione è il gioiello di Wes Anderson Fantastic Mr.Fox ed il miglior film straniero L’heure d’été di Olivier Assayas con Juliette Binoche, già a Roma nel 2008 e mai uscito in Italia. Tra parentesi i runner-up, cioè i secondi classificati.

Anche a New York si impone The Hurt Locker, mentre i migliori attori protagonisti sono George Clooney e Meryl Streep. Il resto è simile, con i due non protagonisti Waltz e Mo’Nque, L’heure d’été miglior film straniero e Fantastic Mr.Fox come animazione.

Christian Berger bissa la vittoria per la migliore fotografia per il sontuoso bianco e nero de Il nastro bianco.
