Michael Fassbender in The Counselor con Ridley Scott
L’informatissimo Deadline segnala che Michael Fassbender dovrebbe essere il protagonista del prossimo film di Ridley Scott, The Counselor, scritto da Cormac McCarthy.
La notizia sembra confermare che Fassbender non sarà il protagonista di Noè di Aronofsky: il suo status di star in ascesa non è ancora sufficiente per un progetto da 150 milioni, come quello del regista di Black Swan.
Tra i tanti progetti di Scott, sembra che questo abbia la priorità assoluta. Le riprese dovrebbero cominciare il 1 maggio.
Fassbender ha lavorato per Scott a Prometheus, in uscita il prossimo agosto.
Come vi abbiamo già anticipato, il protagonista del film è un avvocato che finisce in un traffico di droga più grande lui e finirà per mettere a rischio la sua vita.
Descritto come un Non country for old men all’ennesima potenza, il film, secondo il produttore Steve Schwartz, sarà davvero impressionante: since McCarthy himself wrote the script, we get his own muscular prose directly, with its sexual obsessions. It’s a masculine world into which, unusually, two women intrude to play leading roles. McCarthy’s wit and humor in the dialogue make the nightmare even scarier. This may be one of McCarthy’s most disturbing and powerful works.
